Another great season of baseball is almost upon us. Capture the action and memories with images from Jim Moltzan with CAD Graphics, Inc. This will be the 11th season of the joint partnership between Jim and West Seminole Baseball; another season as Jim's schedule allows.
A significant portion of sales comes back to the league every year. Parents are not allowed on the field nor in the dugouts, but can capture their own images as they may from the bleachers, elevated area...s and through the fence. Please respect this as many hours are spent capturing the images, sorting and posting to the internet for review.
Contact Jim at [email protected] as soon as possible to let him know you are interested. A $20 deposit is required to insure your player gets the attention they deserve, in order to capture great shots throughout the season.
Images for this season will be posted at this link:

Lake Brantley Football & Cheer, Pop Warner Football & Cheer, West Seminole Baseball - all starting tonight, tomorrow or in the next days!
I am spread very thinly this season so let me know as soon as possible, if you want me to capture your players in action. I cannot guarantee great images if I don't know that you are interested, or have not paid me a $20 deposit (refundable if not satisfied).

Day 3 offered time for a daytrip to Victoria, British Columbia. We took the 1-1/2 Coho Ferry across the Strait of Juan de Fuca from Port Angeles to Victoria. Beautiful views while just relaxing and enjoying the ride. Victoria felt very historical and modern at the same time. Very clean walking city and very friendly people. A day trip could not do justice to exploring this fine little city.

Day 2 was spent travelling all the way to the west coast of the Olympic Peninsula to take in some shot of the awesome "seastacks". This area is LaPush, where some of the "Twilight" movie scenes took place. The area here is the Quileute Indian Reservation.
Did not make it in time for the low tide, but still grabbed some cool mid-day images. Lunch was just outside of the Indian reservation at a burger joint, Three Rivers Resort, marked "NO VAMPIRES ALLOWED". Very good burgers and priced lower than what you would expect for being way off the beaten path.

Later, continued up to Cape Flattery, which is the farthest eastern part of the contiguous United States. Small signs say that in a hundred years or so, it is possible that the pounding waves will continue to carve out beneath the land and cause the whole area to break apart and dissolve into the ocean.
Day 2 - Traveled along northern coastline of Olympic Peninsula, WA. Stopped at Lake Crescent and found incredibly clear, emerald-blue water and blue skies (yes, really true colors in pics). Later, trekked on towards Neah Bay were hundreds of fisherman were pulling tons of 40 pound halibut from the waters.
Traveled from SeaTac Airport south toward Tacoma around Puget Sound and eventually ended up in Port Townsend for the evening. Nice lighthouse with views of the bay and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Quant little city with a few coffee shops and restaurants on or near the water. Lots of small shops, but everything seems to close up pretty early. We tried for dinner on a Sunday evening and were somewhat limited as to what was still open past 7pm.

I have been spreading my time way to thinly the last few seasons, so I really need parents to let me know if they are interested in me capturing their players in actions or team photos.
I will not be doing too many all day shoots at West Seminole or Lake Brantley unless requests dicatate me to do so.
You can reach me at 407-234-0119 or [email protected]
I will be adding more events this season such as Lake Brantley High School sporting events. Hopefully football, cheer, basketball, baseball, swimming, track & field and others. GENERAL PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS
FOR HIRE
We are getting near the end of the Spring season at West Seminole Baseball. If you have requested images, now is the time to start viewing your player by going to the search box and type in "Last name-Team". Add your favorites by clicking on the link above the images. A folder banner will pop-up near the top. Figure out what you would like to do with the images and either order online or email me for other options. Hope you like the shots this season!
Attention: West Seminole Baseball Parents!!!! ------------- We are getting close to the Spring 2013 season. I am hoping for another successful fundraiser, but really rely upon parents to purchase their requests for images of their players from last season. Often times parents place a deposit only to never select their choice of images. Or continue to request images to be taken, but never purchase. A significant amount (about 50% of the sales) comes back to West Seminole Baseball each season. ---------------------- Images are mostly taken by request and a $20.00 deposit is required to insure great shots will be taken over the season. Also, team photos are now taken only upon request and are the responsibilty of the teams to schedule with me as soon as possible. ------ Family discounts started last season and will continue along with the $25 special for 25 email quality images for download or cd. ----- Contact me asap at 407-234-0119 or [email protected]
I now have the abilty for customers to:
I believe that these added options on the pricing menu will reduce confusion of which images customers want to use, and the time required communicating back and forth as to what images should go where.
Additionally, the $25 for 25 images (1 meg or smaller file size) will economically help those customers who desire many images for scrapbooking, Facebook, emailing, etc., but don't neccessarily need the highest resolution and/or cost.
Hello Patriots,
Just a reminder that parents who requested photos to be taken by Jim Moltzan, of CAD Graphics, images can be viewed at the following link: http://cadgraphics.zenfolio.com/f862733167
If you have not put in your request, please contact Jim as soon as possible. Some great action shots of your son or daughter, might have been captured inadvertently but not posted. Only a few more games left to focus on those players whose parents have made a request and paid a deposit.

Spring 2012 baseball at West Seminole, has pretty much finished other than All Stars starting June, 13th. Parents are reminded to either pick images for prepaid orders or purchase photos online. This ongoing fundraiser brings 50% of sales back to the organization and has been ongoing for 5 consecutive seasons. Images are available online indefinitely, however funds are rewarded back to WSB at the end of each season.
Occasionally, parents question the costs of photos/collages produced for this fundraiser.
A few points to note:
- pricing is competitive, if not greatly cheaper than other providers of photography services at this quality level.
- a 4x6" print costs .13 at Costco, an 8x10" is $1.49 and a 16x20" is $6.00. But it might have taken 1, or 3 games, a rain delay and 100 tries to get the images for that printed photograph or collage.
- 31 teams for me this season. Average was 4 visits per team 1-2 hours per game....that's about 186 hours on the fields.
- 8500 posted images this season taking time off the field and put in front of the computer; most sorted, labeled and cropped. 10,000 more reviewed did not make the cut and were deleted.
- cost for order forms, posters, business cards, postage, sales tax (not applicable to online orders), gas (to the field, Costco & other drop offs), and other printing supplies - all come out of the sales bottom line.
- hours of time is spent emailing reminding parents to pick or approve images for their orders.
- on the average, for a team of 12 players:
2 parents prepay for pictures or collages
3 parents request pictures without paying a deposit
2 of the previous will not purchase any pictures
1 parent will purchase pictures after the season has officially ended
In spite of the previous points, one has to have a passion for photography and more specifically little league baseball. After browsing some of my images, I think you will see that I have that passion. Thanks for visiting!
